EVALUATION FRAMEWORK
A rating methodology you can audit. Each of the 12 active Indian fantasy platforms is scored on six integer axes (entry fee, withdrawal, tax, contest depth, trust, analytics). The unweighted mean is the composite. Rubric at the bottom of the page.
The 12 platforms below are active in India as of 26 July 2026. Each is scored on six integer axes (0–10) by the CricJosh Quantitative Desk. The composite is the unweighted mean — we deliberately do not publish a weighted score, because weighting is itself an editorial choice. The aim of this page is to make the rubric visible, not to crown a winner.
Important compliance note (Jan 2026):Google Ads banned paid promotion of Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) targeting Indian users on 21 January 2026. Real-money fantasy remains legal in most Indian states, but advertising the contests is now restricted. CricJosh.app is an editorial and research site — we do not run or promote real-money contests and this scorecard is not paid placement.

Recommendations by player profile
You want the largest pool and the deepest contests
Pick: Dream11
On the depth axis (10/10) and trust axis (9/10) it leads the table. The trade-off is thinner analytics; pair it with CricJosh.app for the pre-match research.
You play with friends and family
Pick: My11Circle
Circle structure is the lightest-weight group-contest mechanic in the market. Withdrawal speed drops during playoffs; budget for a 24–72h payout buffer.
You want the lowest-cost entry and a thin learning curve
Pick: PlayerzPot
Entry floor of ₹1 is the cheapest in the table. UI lag during peak hours is a real cost — limit pool entries to off-peak windows when possible.
You want a hedge across two platforms
Pick: Dream11 + My11Circle
Same team on both platforms gives you two independent contest pools. Combined entry cost is roughly ₹10–₹25 and doubles the variance surface.
You prefer not to deposit money at all
Pick: CricJosh simulators (free)
CricJosh publishes captaincy and XI outputs that can be locked in free practice contests on any platform. The workbench is the same regardless of whether you play for stakes.
FAQ
Is fantasy cricket legal in India?
Skill-based fantasy is treated as a game of skill in most Indian states. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Sikkim and Nagaland currently restrict paid-entry contests. The Online Gaming Act 2025 framework reshapes the regulatory perimeter; check your state's permitted list before depositing. The CricJosh workbench remains free to use regardless of jurisdiction.
How is the scorecard weighted?
Each axis is integer 0–10. The composite is the unweighted mean across the six axes. We deliberately do not publish a weighted score because weighting is itself an editorial choice — we keep the rubric auditable instead.
Does this affect the CricJosh xFP engine?
No. The xFP engine is data-only and platform-agnostic. The captaincy overlay, the playing-XI solver and the venue model are the same regardless of where you enter the resulting team.
Are ratings paid placements?
No. CricJosh.app does not accept sponsorship from any operator for inclusion in this scorecard. Some platforms offer affiliate links in our other editorial content; this scorecard is not gated by affiliate relationships.
How often is the scorecard updated?
Quarterly. Next refresh: 1 October 2026. The data points to re-check are withdrawal limits, TDS thresholds, and any operator exit/entry from the Indian market.
Methodology note: This page is editorial. The CricJosh Quantitative Desk does not operate contests. Platform data is based on publicly available terms as of 26 July 2026. Ratings are unweighted means of six integer axis scores; the rubric is published in this page.
